The 24th Treyo Cup Chinese Mahjong King & Master Tournaments Conclude Successfully in Shenyang
Record-Breaking 736 Players Compete in Historic Northeastern City.
From April 11 to 16, 2025, the 24th Treyo Cup Chinese Mahjong King Tournament and Master Tournament was held in Shenyang, Liaoning Province of China. Organized by the Mahjong Sports Branch of Tianjin Sports Federation, the event attracted 736 competitive mahjong players from over 20 Chinese provinces and regions, as well as countries including Singapore, Canada, Japan, and Italy, setting a new record for participation.
The tournaments were divided into the King Tournament (youth category) and the Master Tournament (senior category), with 432 and 304 participants respectively—the highest numbers in the event’s history. Strictly adhering to the MCR Rules issued by the General Administration of Sport of China in 1998, the competitions were guided by the Mahjong International League (MIL). All players held MIL-certified amateur Level 6 or higher technical certificates, and their results will contribute to professional rankings or amateur tier promotions.
After six days of intense matches, the King Tournament crowned top 24 teams, top 48 individuals, and single-round/high-score winners, while the Master Tournament honored the top 20 teams, top 36 individuals, and high-score achievers.
