Qingdao Won the Second Place of Team Competition in 8th China MCR Shanmeng Tournament

On March 23-25, “Shennong (Yan Emperor) ‘QWEKAN Cup’ 8th China Competitive Mahjong Shanmeng Tournament”, jointly organized by the Qingdao Mahjong Association, Liaoning Mind Sports Association and Tonghua Mahjong Sports Association, met its successful completion in Gaoping City, Shanxi Province. After the 8 blood-and-thunder rounds in three days, Qingdao Mahjong Association Team 2, consisting of Xu Peng, Jing Linhui, Wang Ping’ai and Wang Shude, defeated over numerous competitive players and won the second place. Further, Jing Linhui also won the sixth place individually. The Shanxi Jiexiu Team 1 won the team championship.

In the event, the Chinese Mahjong Competition Rules issued by the General Administration of Sport of China were applied, with the standard scoring. There were 176 players participating in the event from the provincial and municipal delegations of Beijing, Tianjin, Shandong, Liaoning, Jilin, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Jiangsu, Xinjiang and Hainan, as well as the delegation of the Third Department of the People’s Liberation Army’s General Staff Department.
