First Duplicate Tournament in Italy; Maurizio Bagnoli Winner
BOLOGNA, Italy – Maurizio Bagnoli is the winner of the first duplicate MCR-tournament held on Italian soil. Today at Bologna, he scored the best points in the ‘Italian Masters Tournament’. Participation to this tournament was limited to sixteen players, and was by invitation only.
In duplicate mahjong, all players in the same position at the various tables receive the same tiles, in an attempt to ban the element of luck. The final classification is determined by comparing the results of the players with the same starting hands.
